The series is hosted and co-produced by author, salon owner, and reality TV sta…r Tabatha Coffey. Tabatha is infamous for her brutally honest approach to shedding light on the obstacles keeping salon owners from running a successful business. As Minneapolis salon Jungle Red brings Tabatha to our neighborhood, we will have the opportunity to see how her shrewd personality brings tears, laughs, and surely awkward moments during her quest to fix the ailments of a local business struggling to get ahead.

“I saw this as an opportunity of a lifetime to get one-on-one advice from an industry guru and very successful business woman,” says entrepreneur Suzanne Erickson, owner of Jungle Red Salon Spa Gallery. “It was quite an experience and it turned my world upside-down. Tabatha drilled me and my staff, and exposed our issues and weaknesses. Was it worth it? Absolutely! You can’t grow without taking an honest look at what’s going on. Tabatha also connected me with some invaluable resources that have aided in business development already.”

Jungle Red Salon Spa Gallery will host a viewing party on January 10th at Seven Sushi Ultralounge and Skybar in downtown Minneapolis beginning at 7p.m. The event will be hosted by 96.3 NOW radio personality Miss Shannan Paul. The evening will consist of special entertainment, and feature a runway show at 8:30p.m., produced by M3 Productions, launching Jungle Red’s patent hairstyle, The Sex Kitten. These festivities will be followed by the televised season premiere of the show at 9p.m. and include a special introduction by Tabatha Coffey herself!

Glotherapeutics skincare and chemical exfoliation treatments utilize 4 ingredients to maximize the transformation of your skin. Here is just a little bit of jargon for you, but I promise it’s important! Spin Trap is a free radical scavenger, Carnosine stimulates healing and helps in the prevention of wrinkles. Amia is a fruit extract and a powerful antioxidant that reduces the appearance of freckles and age spots. Lastly, Niacinamide reduces water loss, and balances the skin.

Now that we cleared the science out of the way, what is the best peel for you?

To start we have 2 mild peels:
1. Lactic
2. Enzyme

A lactic peel, which is derived from milk products, is used for dry or rough skin.

An enzyme peel is a type of exfoliation used for congested and oily skin. Enzyme Peels utilizes natural and chemical products like Aloe Vera, pumpkin and pineapple to gently exfoliate the skin ridding it of dead skin cells.

We also have 4 chemical peels, which are a more aggressive form of facial peel:

1. Glycolic 30%
2. Glycolic 60%
3. Salicylic 30 %
4. Jessner

Glycolic 30% and 60% peels are used for aged skin, hyper-pigmentation, photo damage, acne and, ingrown hairs.
Glycolic peels usually last 30-45 minutes, and the frequency of treatment depends on the strength of the chemical. Glycolic 30% peels are recommended every 7-14 days for 4-6 treatments, while a Glycolic 60% peel is suggested every 4-6 weeks for 4-6 treatments.

Salicylic acid is a gentle BHA. Salicylic acid can reverse the effects of aging, reducing the visibility of lines, wrinkles and blemishes. Salicylic acid also clears pores to treat acne, and reduces oil production to prevent future breakouts. The Salicylic Peel is great for those who are prone to acne, and want to revive their skin to a youthful glow.

Jessner peels are used for fine lines, sun damage, acne, and scar tissue. Depending on the number of layers applied, clients should prepare for at least 3 days of downtime after a Jessner Peel. But trust me the Jessner is worth it, in no time you will see a rejuvenated youthful complexion!

1. Dry scalp
The dry, cold air Minnesota is notorious for during the Winter wreaks havoc on our scalp. Itchiness and yes dandruff are signs your scalp is dry. You can brush the dandruff off all you want, but what you really need is Simply Organic Scalp Spa Treatment. Scalp Spa Treatment will calm, soothe and moisture your scalp. 2. Limp hair
All that blowing and hat wearing leaves our beautiful tresses limp and lifeless. This allows for the natural oils to moisturize your hair, and allows for a break from using the blow dryer. 4. Dull color
